Public Lighting Design for Cambridge Intersection Upgrade

Overview

C5 was awarded the role of lighting design engineers for the development of a major intersection upgrade in Cambridge Tasmania.

The Problem

Our client presented us a brief that needed further scoping to address the lighting compliance requirements needed for this project. Given the complex nature of a multi stage construction plan for this project, C5 also needed to address the most practical resolution for staging the lighting assets while balancing the economical budget for the project.

The Solution

C5 was able to offer our expertise in detailed lux study design for the proposed new highway intersection which included services such as:

• End to End project management between all stakeholders – developer, consultants, council, constructors and network service provider
• Voltage drop analysis to verify compliance with the relevant standards
• Lux study compliance with relevant standards
• Integration design between public and private lighting reticulation
• Development of detailed lighting report
• Development of construction drawings including detailed construction methodology
• Construction support through the implementation phase
